  • Begin the process of submitting the FASFA

  • Trim list of schools down to 6-8

  • Attend MVRHS College Night & Identify admissions deadlines

  • Acquire applications from colleges

  • Open a common application account, if applicable

  • Begin to fill out applications

  • Sign up for SAT or ACT

  • Being to write college essay

  • Ask 1-2 teachers to write you a recommendation in addition to the required school counselor recommendation.


  • Complete Applications

  • Make an appointment with school counselor to complete, send, and make copies of the applications

  • Have SAT/ACT scores sent to schools of interest

  • Orientation to scholarship opportunities through advisories

  • Attend financial aid night at MVRHS

  • Keep your school counselor in touch with news of admissions and financial aid award letters

  • Migrate your MVRSD Google Drive documents to your personal GMail Drive (by June 15)
