The 500 seat Mascoma Auditorium built in 2016 is used by the school district twice a week on average and occasionally by the community. It can host small presentations and conferences, large musical and play productions, film showings and more.
Mascoma High School's: The Wizard of Oz
The Wizard of Oz tells the story of Dorothy Gale, a Kansas farm girl swept by a tornado to the magical Land of Oz, who journeys with a Scarecrow (needs brain), Tin Woodman (needs heart), and Cowardly Lion (needs courage) to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard for help getting home, only to discover the Wizard is a humbug, and the magical silver shoes (ruby slippers in the film) hold the power to return her to Kansas all along

Upper Valley Music Center’s community chorus invites you to the annual spring concert, to experience the power of music to bring strength and hope in uncertain times. Under the direction of Annie Arrington and with Maureen Burford playing piano, the ensemble brings together 80+ singers of all ages from across the Upper Valley. The program, Turn the World Around, reminds us that when times are tough, we find strength in coming together as a community and creating the world we want to see.

Under the direction of conductor Mark Nelson, the Upper Valley Symphony Orchestra performs its annual spring concert. The program features a new work especially commissioned in honor of the Upper Valley Music Center’s 30th-anniversary season. Pablo Santiago Chin, who teaches music at the Longy School of Music and Dartmouth College, has adapted the rhythms and textures of seasonal sounds in his composition Upper Valley Seasons. Two movements, “Autumn” and “Winter” will be premiered at this concert; the premiere of the complete work will occur during the 2026-27 season. This concert program also includes Carl Maria von Weber’s Overture to Der Freischütz and Carl Nielsen’s Saga-Dream; it will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6.
