Mascoma Valley Students Participate in 2025 Congressional Art Competition
Mascoma Valley Regional High School’s Art Department is proud to share that three talented students have submitted artwork to the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, hosted by the Office of Representative Maggie Goodlander.
Held each spring, the Congressional Art Competition—also known as the Artistic Discovery Contest—is sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize and encourage artistic talent among high school students across the country. The winning piece from each district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., alongside winning entries from across the nation.
This year’s Mascoma participants are: Angel Hawxhurst, Silas Jukosky, Braelyn Stone
Their submissions reflect the creativity, skill, and dedication fostered within Mascoma’s visual arts program. We are proud to have them represent our school and community in this distinguished competition. Their work will be honored at a special Awards Reception hosted by the Office of Representative Maggie Goodlander at Kimball Jenkins in Concord on Friday, April 25th. During the event, Representative Goodlander will personally present each student with a Certificate of Recognition, acknowledging their artistic achievement and contribution to the competition.
